Tom Brubaker

"Bruno"

I entered the Naval Academy from my hometown of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and served in the Navy for nearly 20 years - three years on a ship homeported in Norfolk, Virginia, and the rest in the Civil Engineer Corps at various duty stations around the country and the world. Upon retirement from the Navy, I settled in Brunswick, Maine (my last duty station) and transitioned to a second career in facilities, construction, and energy management with various organizations in southern Maine in the public and private sectors. My wife, Cherylyn, and I have two sons and three grandchildren. Cherylyn and I have ridden the Trek Across Maine numerous times raising funds for the American Lung Association, a very personal cause for us. I have ridden the multi-day BikeMaine event several times cycling through various regions of the great State of Maine. The Gulf to Goat ride will be the biggest cycling adventure of my life. Iā€™m riding to challenge myself; to commemorate our 50th Naval Academy reunion, to raise funds for these great causes, and to honor and support the brotherhood and legacy of the great USNA Class of 75.
